Mallorca-based airline Air Europa has reported a cyberattack that affected the payment system on its website. This would have allowed data from customer credit cards to have been taken.
The airline says that detection and the rapid intervention of cybersecurity personnel blocked the security breach and prevented the leak of further data.
Air Europa is analysing what happened, the origin of the attack and the use of stolen information. Thus far, there is no evidence that any fraud has been committed.
