Six people have died of Covid in the Balearics in the last 24 hours and a record number of 882 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours, according to the local ministry for health (IBSALUT).
The Balearic government is battling to bring the figures down and have introduced a whole series of new restrictions which come into force today and on Saturday. Bars and restaurants will have to close earlier and social gatherings involving people from different households are banned after 1p.m.
