Pablo Iglesias, the leader of the far-left Podemos politicial party, is stepping down from the coalition Spanish government and will be a candidate in the Madrid local elections.
Iglesias, one of Spain´s most controversial politicians, has attracted much criticism and there is talk of a split between him and Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez.
