The Government will announce new stricter coronavirus measures for Mallorca at 1300 on Monday.
Christmas meetings are likely to be cut back to a maximum of 6 people with a 22:00 curfew to curb coronavirus infection.
The Ministry of Health previously set a maximum of 10 people in groups and extended the curfew until 01:30 on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.
The Regional government has decided that Mallorca will move to phase 4, which means the interior of bars and restaurants will be out of bounds and the ban on smoking in the street will be reinstated and lockdowns are also planned in some parts of Mallorca.
